REGISTRATION
Competitors must register at the SGU registration desk at least 45 minutes prior to their tee-time. The registration area will be situated in the Mitchell Room, within the Dormie Clubhouse.

CLUBHOUSE AND CATERING
Competitors and their families may use the clubhouse facilities.

All competitors will be issued with a lunch voucher at the conclusion of their round. All catering out with that provided by the SGU will be at the competitors or guests own expense.

FORMAT
The event is an 18 hole stableford competition with full handicap allowance, up to a maximum of 28 for boys and 36 for girls. Points are awarded in relation to par at each hole as follows.

Nett score for hole Points
More than one over par or no score returned 0
One over par 1
Par 2
One under par 3
Two under par 4
Three under par 5

TEES
Boys will play be from the yellow tees and girls from the red tees.

RULES
The event will be played under the R&A rules of golf, the local rules of the golf club and the SGU hard card. All local rules are subject to change by the SGU.

CADDIES
Caddies are not permitted. Parents may walk with the game but must stay to the sides of the fairway and not interact with the games in any way. For example parents may not carry the bag, tend pins, rake bunkers or offer advice or interact with the game in any way. Anybody breaching this condition may be disqualified from the event.

DECISIONS & TIES
In the event of a tie the final standings will be decided by the following countback procedure;

The best stableford score as written on the card for holes 10-18 and if still a tie
The best stableford score as written on the card for holes 13-18 and if still a tie
The best stableford score as written on the card for holes 16-18 and if still a tie

Match play on the best stableford score as written on the card, hole by hole from the 1st hole.

PRIZE GIVING
Prizes are awarded to the top 3 boys and girls on the day. All prize winners are required to attend the prize giving ceremony.

SCORECARDS
Scorecards must be returned to the registration area immediately after play.

CAR PARK
Competitors are required to use the golfers car park situated to the left hand side of the main driveway of Gleneagles, behind the PGA Office.

TROLLEYS, STROKESAVERS, DISTANCE MEASURING DEVICES & BUGGIES
Trolleys are available for hire and course guides to buy. These are available on a first come first served basis.

The use of electronic measuring devices is permitted, providing they measure distance only. However, smart phones which include distance measuring applications are non-conforming under Rule 14-3 and may not be used.

The use of buggies is not permitted on the Queen’s course by competitors or spectators.

PRIZE GIVING
The championship trophy and prizes will be presented at the close of play within the Mitchell Room of the Dormie Clubhouse.

All prize winners are required to be present.

PRACTICE
Each competitor will be entitled to a basket of balls at the PGA Practice Golf Academy, courtesy of Gleneagles, along with complimentary use of the Academy Course, (Sunday 11 October only). Please arrive in plenty time if you wish to take up this opportunity.

All competitors are reminded that they should allow enough time to get from the practice area to the starting tee. Under the conditions of competition and rule 6-3 competitors arriving late to the tee may be disqualified.

There is no official practice day. Any competitor wishing to play the Queen’s Course prior to the event may do so at their own expense. Please contact 0800 389 3737 for details.

ACCOMMODATION
There are a variety of accommodation options in and around Perthshire for any competitors wishing to stay in the area prior to the competition.

RESPONSIBILITY
The Scottish Golf Union and The Gleneagles Hotel cannot accept responsibility for the lost, theft or damage to players’ property or possessions during the tournament.
